International Educator of the Year

We’re excited that you are considering applying for an International Educator of the Year Award.  The deadline to apply is March 8.   

To be considered for an award you must complete the online application form found at the bottom of this page, and submit the following supporting materials.

1.  One letter of support.  The letter must be from an administrator or colleague.  The letter of support should contain specific references to overall teaching performance and cultural contributions to the classroom, school and community.

2.  Either a short video or a portfolio that demonstrates your teaching skills and integration of culture into your teaching, school and/or community.

3.  A brief essay that responds to ONE of the following questions: 

Describe a challenge you have faced as an international teacher.  How are you addressing or have you addressed this challenge?

How has teaching in the U.S. affected your perspective on teaching or education in general?
